Square Deal Solar at the Sussex Game and Country Fair

Meet Square Deal Solar for Solar Panel Advice

After a successful three-day event at the South of England Show, Square Deal Solar will be attending the Sussex Game and Country Fair on the 18th & 19th of June 2011. This year as always, you are guaranteed a weekend packed with fun for all ages young and old.

The fair will have everything from medieval jousters fighting it out, clay shooting tuition (you can try your hand at this), vintage steam engines, arts and crafts, family entertainment (where you can enjoy some great food while listening to some superb live entertainment), plus lots more.

Square Deal Solar will be there to explain all about solar pv, we will be there to inform and advise on the best systems on the market. You will only receive honest free advice on M.C.S. solar products that are now widely sold in England.

We will be there to let you know about and answer questions on the following and more:

Solar photovoltaic (pv) systems and how they work in England
The feed-in tariff and why you receive money for producing your own electricity even though you use it
What an inverter does and why some are better than others
What questions you should ask when considering investing in solar
How much a system will cost for a complete install
Why some solar panels have a higher efficiency than others and therefore produce a higher return on your investment.

No matter what kind of question you have on solar pv even if you are just curious we are there to help you understand the benefits to you, your family and the environment.

We hope to see you there - but if we don't, have a great weekend.

Meet Square Deal Solar at the South of England Show

Meet Dean Ridley and Square Deal Solar at the South of England Show

Meet Square Deal Solar at the South of England Show on the 9th 10th and 11th of June 2011.

The South of England Show is upon us again and as always will be a great day out. The show is packed with entertainment, music, food, world-class show jumping, prize winning British live stock, craftsmen and plenty for the kids. There is also Eco Village information and Square Deal Solar will be explaining the true benefits of solar energy.

Dean Ridley, (Solar Energy Advisor) and a colleague from Square Deal Solar will be at the show for the whole three day event. We are there to answer any questions you may have on solar photovoltaic (pv) systems.

  • How the system works (what inverters do and how well solar panels work in England).
  • The Feed-in-Tariff (how much tax free money you can receive each year for 25 years after installing a solar panel system).
  • How you can reduce your energy bills and CUT your carbon foot print.
  • The cost of a system and how long it will take for your investment to pay for itself.
  • The M.C.S. (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) and what it is.
  • The installation process, what we do and how long it takes.

We are not high pressure sales people. We are at the show to explain why solar power can help you and your family reduce energy bills. How the installation of a solar pv system can be an income generating asset.

There will be no hesitation in giving you any information you might require on solar pv. We are at the show to promote the use of solar energy and explain how the systems work.

So if you are interested in investing in solar (we offer a free solar survey) or if you are just curious come and see us we are there to answer any questions and give honest free advice.

See you there!

Square Deal Solar at the Grand Design Show

Square Deal Solar Stand at the Grand Designs Exhibition

This was our first Grand Design Show in the Excel Centre London. To be honest it was an excellent venue and very well organised. We went to the Excel the previous day to set up our displays, as did everyone else. They had allocated parking spaces for unloading and depending on the size of vehicle were given an amount of time in which to so. Everything was organised to perfection and this paved way for a great event.

Square Deal Solar was one of several solar companies at the Exhibition. We set up our display and solar pv calculator. (the calculator, included prices, pay back time and your income from the feed-in-tariff etc.) These are very important when asking about solar pv, especially the price of a system.

The show was covering a vast amount of floor space and could easily take you a few hours to wander round.

As the people filtered through the meandering walkways, we started to get one or two enquiries and general questions on how inverters worked, who pays the feed in tariff, the different panels and the cost of an install. We spent a lot of our time explaining the ins and outs of all things solar; even if you were just curious, it was no problem for us to answer any questions you had.

After a while people were asking for appointments and taking a great interest in what we had to say, soon we were inundated with questions, appointments and general chatter. We were not pushy; we simply let the people come to us for fair, free advice on our prices and solar panel installation processes.

I did hear that some companies would not even give you a price for X amount of panels, which I find extraordinary. Why? That one is beyond me, can’t really understand that one. The whole point of the show is to let people know about products not to keep them in the dark.

Square Deal Solar had no high pressure or badgering techniques, we simply informed anyone who wanted to know, and that’s the way it should be, and was.

Dean Ridley from Square Deal Solar with Grand Designs Kevin McCloud
As a company we had a successful and educational time at the Grand Design Show, we met some great people some of whom are now proud owners of solar pv from Square Deal Solar and many who are waiting for installations. We even met and had a quick chat with the Grand Designs man himself - Kevin McCloud. Overall we were there to help people understand the benefits of solar energy as well as sell it and I think we achieved everything we set out to do and so much more.
